See my review for Nepal Peak Adventure, but this was our first trek into Nepal and it was the launch for our training to go to Everest Basecamp. Words cant express the natural beauty of the region and the Annapurna Range. Don't be fooled with a "it's a one on a scale from 1-5" where the EBC trek is a 5. from a technical perspective, ABC is a highly technical trek with tons of elevation change over the course of 7 hours. You just don't get up to 4000+ meters until the final ascent to ABC. Once you do, you are rewarded with some of the most amazing views you will ever experience.

Trekking, tiny villages, and very bad roads with 100-200 meter drops if you go over the edge, your adventure trip is here. At least the roads are better now. It used to be walking or horses.

The permits and the need of hiring a guide is just a nonsense. The national authorities are only interested in getting money from the foreigners. I do not recommend anyone to go there

This is a beautiful area. We have just done the Annapurna Sanctuary Trek with Exodus. A lovely walk on well maintained paths from Naya Pul via Poon Hill to Annapurna Base Camp. A lot of work has gone into building the stone steps. The views are beautiful. The tea houses provide bedrooms and meals and exceeded our expectations. The Nepali people are very friendly.

Annapurna is a massif in the Himalayas in north-central Nepal that includes one peak over 8,000 metres (26,000 ft), thirteen peaks over 7,000 metres (23,000 ft), and sixteen more over 6,000 metres (20,000 ft).[5] The massif is 55 kilometres (34 mi) long, and is bounded by the Kali Gandaki Gorge on the west, the Marshyangdi River on the north and east, and by Pokhara Valley on the south.
