Gorkha Durbar is the most visited and also a main attractive place in Gorkha. It is located on the top of the hill, takes about an hour from the bazaar area. So you can reach here easily.

There is a lot of information about Gorkha. The description is small, a bit difficult to read for old people, but I worth to spend time here.

On 10th Nov. 2018 , I visited the Gorkha Museum after paying my tributes to Yogi Gorakhnath and Gorkha Kali temple . The museum was housed in a Newari style palace , known as Tallo Durbar , built by King Ram Shah in the 18th century . Though the collection of armours , artilleries , weaponry , traditional musical instruments .Though the illustrations of the history of Gorkha were limited , the collection was of the highest quality and of the significant importance from the historical point of view . The costumes of local ethnic groups and the throne of King Prithvi Narayan Shah , the unifier of small rival kingdoms into a single nation in 1769 were the prime objects of interest .The intricately carved wooden doors and windows were the epitome of the fine Nepalese architecture .

The moment I entered the courtyard, it reminded me of its counterpart in Patan minus the Keshav Narayan Chowk. Surprised to see half of the display items to belonging to Newar community in Newar language/Devnagiri and Roman script.
