I would skip Don details unless your a young party animal in need of narcotics. There's some great trails to be explored on Don Khone, complete with bridges made from old railway tracks (take care). The two locomotives are definitely worth a look if you're...More

A collection of islands many with guest houses and hotels, ideal for all age groups and budgets. Quiet, easy to get around by boat, just a great part of the world to chill out for a few days.

In order for you to enjoy this place you must relax, unwind and get away from the reggae reggae places. At first I didn't get it and wanted to leave, but I changed guesthouse to somewhere more secluded and surrendered. I'm glad I did

Really worth the trip, we stayed at don khone which probably is the most laid-back island. Take a kayaking-tour, was so much fun!! Kayaking the mekongriver downstreams, swimming close to a waterfall and then barbeque on an island with lots of beaches!:)
