Crowd was relatively thinner when I visited this beach in the evening hours when compared to Puri Sea beach. There were a few street food seller and sea shells decorative item sellers roaming around the beach. We got into the water an enjoyed wading, having the wave come and go. Didn't venture deep into the beach water as we were... More

Visited the beach in the morning. The beach was almost desolate. Apart from us, there were only 5 other people on the beach. We had some feeling of insecurity. We were told that the beach line is rough and hence we did not attempt getting into the waters. Just spent quality time gazing at the sea and enjoying the views.

This is a beach on the way to Konark Sun Temple from Puri Jagannath. A nice beach curved a bit but enjoyable with a dip considered sacred by some Hindus. Restaurants and roadside stalls offer immense locally made Handicrafts for the keen tourists!

If you want a quite but safe flat beach in India, here it is. As there is no locality you can visit this place only by bus towardsKonark from Puri. The road trip itself is awesome. You can seethe dead riverbed meeting at the sea. In cylone, the whole place became barren as the trees were uprooted.

We stopped here for sunset when driving from Puri to Konark. It was a weekday, so I guess we were lucky that it was not crowded. It is definitely less crowded, less commercialised and cleaner than the main puri beach. The drive to this beach from Puri, takes about 90 min. The road is beautiful, takes you through reserved forest... More
