Must visit compound if you visit Bodh Gaya. It's away from the beaten path, but such a beautiful architecture and a living monastery. The monks are simply great. Their friendliness is comforting especially when you are earnest seeker or even a well wisher.

Burmese monastery at Bodh Gaya. On a quite crowded street, but definitely worth a visit. Sandalwood incense, a little market of its own were the highlights.

The place is located near the Mahabodhi Temple complex. Photography was not allowed inside. The architecture of the building is absolutely beautiful. I loved the calm and peace inside.
