Nothing was held back in the production of the show. The sets, costumes, sound, props and lighting, especially lighting, were very impressive. Through an effective combination of all these, the performances really stood out and was enjoyable throughout. The rotating seating platform elevated the entertainment factor even further, as the audience will always be having a direct (and near) view of the performance, no matter which side of the stage it is on. The rain during our show made it even more memorable as the lights shone on the rain created a surreal experience.
However, at RMB298, it is on the high side, considering that the entire show lasted for an hour only. The entire performance was divided into 3 different segments/stories. But all 3 have the same theme, which is the tea in WuYiShan. At the end, it came across like an extended ad for tea or a show sponsored by the tea industry there.
Nevertheless, considering the many positives, it was still an enjoyable show.

Every tourist area in China will have one of these Impressions shows and they're all pretty much the same: Lots of dancing, very little story. That's ok because the story is pretty stupid but the dancing is good. Worth about 120元, but not much more.

I learnt about the show from a friend who didn't fully explain exactly what it was, which meant I went with low expectations. However the show turned out to be one of the best experiences I've ever had !
Its an outdoor theater performance that takes the experience to a whole new level.
If you get good weather, which we did, it is an event that you can sit back in comfort and just indulge in the atmosphere and the sheer quality of the set, the performances and the co-ordination of the story. You don't need to be a Chinese speaker to enjoy this, although of course the story is told in Chinese. You'll see what I mean when you go. It is a MUST SEE attraction if you are staying in or near WuyiShan. Fantastic value for money.

I have been to a few of Zhang Yimou shows in China. This is spectacular but not as great as the others which I have seen. However, if you are in Wuyishan, I would still recommend you go for the show. Just go for the RMB 298 seats. They are better than the RMB 198 ones. No need to go for the RMB 600+ ones.

The show is staged outdoors rain or shine. We were given plastic ponchos before the drizzle started. Produced by Zhang Yimou who produced the opening and closing ceremonies of the Beijing Olympics, the show with its Mandarin dialogue is visually stunning and spectacular. Eventhough I didn't understand a word of it, we found it enthralling.

With a cast of more than one hundred and twenty, the choreography was amazing. A very nice touch to the finale was tea served to the audience by the actors.

Watching this show is like watching the Beijing Olympics live.

What I like
. Being immersed in the live show, livid colors, extravagance to the max, with hundreds of performers circling u.
. If u understand chinese, then it tells of the meaning of drinking tea, reminding us how this drink was with us, when we celebrated our births, when wars were won, when we married or when we toasted our blessings to others. Very meaningful show.
. A world class act. Totally amazing.

What I din like
. rude ushers. screaming away. If they dun enjoy their job, they shld just quit.

An incredible experience. Theatre in the round Chinese style, the auditorium seating revolves not the stage. Combine the natural beauty of the area, great sets and costumes, brilliant lighting effects and a BIG cast and you end up with a most spectacular show. Being a non-Chinese speaking person I missed all the spoken aspects of the show but this did not detract from the spectacle.

It was worth the trip to Wuyi Shan just to see this show.

We went during a drizzling night and were given a raincoat while watching the show. Other than the 360 degree rotating seats and the actual scenery in the show, we found that it’s not really fantastic. However it’s another kind of experience where the stage is set in front of the actual scene at the area.

I’ve watched many broadway musicals and while this has no singing, the theatrics and the 360 rotating platform was a first. The show has a cast of at least a 100 people who incorporate the surrounding river, trees and the mountain into the show which was ingenious! I paid about 188 RMB per person for my seats and I went on a weekday and surprisingly the audience was very well behaved with no one standing up during the show or talking loudly.

great show with turning auditorium. outdoors .. moskitos.. most seats have good views if the people put down their cell phones and tablets. we sat on even rows next to speakers and had to move up higher only to have views blocked by 100s of cell phones, people standing up, late arrivals for 30 minutes after show started. yapping ushers and ignorant Chinese people talking on the phone or yapping loudly. sad it would have bern much more fun. meutermedia..
