Marsa Matrouh is a port in Egypt and also the capital of Matrouh governate.Marsa Matrouh is served by Marsa Matrouh airport. The city features white sands beaches and transparent waters. The place is protected by the high sees and many rocks making a small opening for vehicle.

This povert has the ruins of the pharoh Ramesses the second. Also it has 2 drowned city's;one is the drowned city of Cleopatra and the drowned city of Caeser. The three main beaches of Marsa Matrouh are Rommel bay,Ageebah beach, and Al-Obayed beach. The beaches are so transparent that you can see your feet clearly. The whether there is mild and the skies are so clear. At night the sand is cold and the waves are are so caN that you can hear the wind blowing. The food there is amazing it was so amazingthat i ate 7 plates in one meal.

As of now the one thing i didn't try is the jet skee. But as far as i know this place is amzing. From the food to the place is just over the roof. The only thing i didn't like about the city is the net in the beach was not connected to the ground of the beach so it didn't keep the fish out of the borders and also some people like my brother liked to pass the line from under.

If you want to visit a beach which provides everything you want;I would highly recommend you visiting Marsa Matrouh. If i would have to rate this i would rate it 5 stars out of 5

Amazing part of Egypt!
Warm and clean waters, very much family friendly!
We went to Jaz Al Maza hotel and were very happy. Cleanliness is great, hotel stuff are very polite and helpful. Hotel facilities are excellent for babies for small kids, for couples for elderly you will find everything you need!
Don’t miss the Health Hub where Mr Reda will make some super tasty, healthy smoothies for you!

The sea is beautiful, however….the city: looks like an apocalyptic war zone, there is sh*t literally everywhere, the beaches are dirty & you get harassed by toothless ignorant locals. It would have been a nice a place, if it wasn’t turned into a toxic sh*thole.

Beautiful beach .. calm waters, clear, clean, nice weather for summer. A lot of sun like anywhere in Egypt in this time of year. The hotel was very good. Very nice and clean rooms, adequate food, and all inclusive was a good option for drinking a lot during the day. Good for relaxing. Not much activity but they had banana boat, parasailing, jet ski, but no diving or snorkeling.

Marsa Matruh is a place where locals go to enjoy the beauty of the sun, sea and beach. Of course, you have to be aware of which country you are in and how you should behave and dress in order not to have any unpleasant situations. There are no militias there as there are in Cairo or other tourist destinations, but regardless of that trip there can be a real pleasure for you. I didn't have any problems. My "swimsuit" consisted of a short-sleeved T-shirt and 3/4 leggings, of course below that was a classic swimsuit, which is for sure, for sure! As for accommodation, depending on how far the apartment is from the beach, the price also varies. In my opinion no apartment is too far from the beach. The part where the apartments are is not overly clean and tidy, but you can't expect some cleanliness when the government didn't give them containers for that garbage. There are 2 shops in the whole place where English is very poorly represented. Well... manage. If you are expecting a beach with hotels like Hurghada with 3, 4 or 5 stars... then you will not find them. It is much simpler and I prefer to feel the local population than the tourist chaos. Was it worth visiting knowing all the flaws and shortcomings of the accommodation, YES! There are no tourist attractions, but you don't need that if you really want to rest your brain!

The water looks beautiful with its turquoise color but the locals have trashed the beach near the downtown area. The beaches look like landfills. In the evening the corniche gets crowded with low class people. They let their horses & camels poop everywhere. The town is a dump. Not a nice place for foreign tourists to visit.
