The downtown shops are interesting worth an afternoon of you time. Wont spend too long because there is only a city block worth of stores to go through.

Walked around town. Very walkable, great diversity, family friendly. Very few empty storefronts. Nice to see a busy downtown.

So, you've likely heard reference to "Uppers". And this connotation of a warm, friendly, good natured and laid-back group is what you'll find with your visit to Marquette. Expect to be warmly welcomed by the proprietors of the restaurants, shops, and citizenry. Marquette is a beautiful town along lake Superior with dining and shopping for all. And when you wish... Whenever we are in Marquette we stop at Getz's to peruse the clearance section and almost always find something we can't pass up. This time it was a stormy kromer hat for 60% off. Amazing.

We spent an afternoon walking the downtown stores of Marquette. Most notable was our visit to the Spice Merchant of Marquette. This is a wonderful store full of exotic spice blends. The owner was very friendly and helpful.

Fun and cute place to walk around, shop, experience the shoreline. Beautiful time of year to see the trees changing colors. Just missed the Farmer's Market but looked very nice. Plenty of restaurants, coffee shops, etc.

Each winter, we head up to downtown Marquette to shop for the holidays. We never leave disappointed as there are the neatest small-town shops all within walking distance of each other. A true small town shopping experience can be had here!

Marquette has little to offer. I was very surprised that for a college town there is nothing here. Not many restaurants, boarded up empty storefronts, no attractions.
