Don't miss this quick hike! If you want to see beautiful views take a 1/2 and check this place out! When our daughter was a student at the university, we made sure to come by here on parents weekend!

For this area, it was a good hike with a good view. I have hiked in many mountains in the Southwest, so compared to that this wasn't much, but good to do if you're looking for something to do in the area. It's really short...More

A spectacular 360-degree view--lake and land. The hike to the top includes a lot of stairs (even on the "easy" path) but you'd have hard time getting to the top without them. The path is shaded and generally even. Bring your own water. The views...More

We took the difficult trail to the top and it did not take long at all. Beautiful 360 views at the top and plenty of decks and stairs if you don't want to wander on the rocks. Enjoy

Wonderful hike up the hill with great views of Lake Superior. Plan on 20 minutes up, 20-30 minutes viewing, and another 15 minutes down. A bit challenging for some -- take the longer, easier path, but be prepared for many stairs no matter which path...More

Used to hike Sugar Loaf throughout my teenage years, but hadn't been back in over 35 years since I moved away. The views from the top are still spectacular and you can see for miles in all directions. Helped that we had a clear, sunny...More

We took the difficult path up. Beyond the path though, there are a lot of steps to get to the top. It sure is beautiful though. There's a lot of freedom at the top, so be careful with kids. My 8 year old wanted to...More

We hiked the difficult up and the easy trail down with our family: kids 10, 8, and a 1 yr. old in a back pack carrier (kinder pack). Both trails were well shaded by the surrounding forest, and the view at the top was spectacular....More

Sugarloaf Mountain has amazing views of Marquette and its surrounding areas. There are two different trails that will take you to the top of the mountains: An easy one and a more difficult one. Both are reasonable for persons in good health.

My husband and I took the difficult path up(which is a bit rocky but not really too bad) and easy path down. At the top the views were breath taking.

After conferring with my wife it was probably a 30 minute climb. We did stop a couple times on the way up for sake of the view and to catch our breath. The closer we got to the top we did slow a bit - our 14 year old, 4... More

Depends on the kind of pet doesn't it? If it's a dog, just keep it on a leash and all is well.

Amanda, I did not pay anything, and I looked for a way to pay. I think this is a free park open to the public. Enjoy!
