I have run on the North Country Trail during a half marathon and full marathon, so I've traveled at least 30 miles of this moderately technical trail. The dense trees and ground cover create a wonderful backdrop for a spectacular experience in nature.

There are a whole lot of miles along the North Country Trail to explore and enjoy. This is a great way to get away from people. There are no crowds on the NCT. You'll run into mountain bikers, hikers, wild mushroom hunters and trail maintenance...More

I was in town for the marathon and it runs the north country trail. The trail was nice and manicured. A lot of roots so watch your step. There was a 10 mile section that was relatively flat and the rest had some moderate hills....More

I like to run on the North Country trail. The sections along the Manistee River are quite scenic.

Very challenging parts on this trail. I'm fairly new to mountain biking so I'm sure if you're more seasoned you'd love this trail. Even though I'm a neophyte I enjoyed the trail. Great workout and beautiful views. We were kayaking from Hopendyl dam and used...More
