Best place to bring the family, enjoy nature, and see the famous rocks of Michigan!! It is a rocky beach - so I would suggest to bring water shoes. Not as many people either. You do have to walk a little bit to get to the water but there is a trail which makes it easier. There is an outhouse available and a water spicket pump (sorry not sure what it’s called) for free water if you run out! For those who can’t walk the trek to the beach - there is a wonderful overlook of the lake.

This is one of the best spots for a lakeside picnic or stroll on the beach in three counties. I'm not sure if it's run by Manistee County or one of the local townships, but it features three things, all of them spectacularly nice: a wooded bluff overlooking Lake Michigan with benches, picnic tables and hibachis; a very nice little trail system; and the beach, on which you can walk for miles. If you come here, respect it! It's a precious resource, worthy only of your best behavior.

Whenever we are looking for a place to hike or enjoy the beach - - this is a place we stop. High atop the bluff is a parking area, outhouse, picnic tables - and the best views. It is a hike to the beach. Dogs are welcome here.

We stumbled on this place (thank you Google Maps) because we wanted to maximize our edge of Lake Michigan driving time. It's a simple place with some picnic tables, but in a woods some 200' above the lake shore. We walked a short path at the edge of the bluff and soaked-in the lake views. Lovers of the Lake won't want to miss this gem.

Love Magoon Creek. Has a great picinic area that overlooks Lake MIchigan. Also trails to the lake with plenty of parking available. Also has restrooms.

Pure Michigan beauty. Manistee's best kept beach secret for cool rocks. Nice hiking area and a place to BBQ, picnic tables and some covered. Outdoor toilets, A pump for water.

A beautiful park and beach just south of Manistee. We were there on a busy July weekend, and only 2 other cars there. We didn't walk any of the trails in the woods, but nice trail along the ridge high above the beach, which offers amazing views. Trail down to the actual beach is steep, but not too bad. Will visit again when in the area.

It's a lovely place. Wish we had packed a lunch because there are picnic tables on the high bluff with a superb view. We took some of the trails through the woods. There seemed to be more wave action at the beach. Not crowded.

The trails and beach are just beautiful and not over crowded. We spent an awesome day just relaxing and playing in the waves.

A local told us about this beach. Not easy to get to the beach portion, which keeps it serene and crowd free. There is a picnic area near parking that is quite accessible.
