Never knew this course existed until my buddy got a group golfer offer for $20 ( absolute bargain) and researched it and being it had several holes right on Lk Michigan thought let's do it. As much as I'd love to play Arcadia I just won't pay $160 a round.
Although the forecast was good we had several rounds of showers, thunderstorms, wind and temps in the mid 60's. The views were stupendous even with the weather conditions.( Saturday 8/8/20)
Being the course opened in 1901 it was short at 5600 yards, average sized greens in excellent shape, and lots of charm and character. Lots of balls in the wrong fairways which made for risk of getting hit by stray shots. But being right on the "cliffs" of Lk Michigan made it most picturesque and enjoyable even while getting soaked and chilled in early August thunderstorms.
Wife and I had a hoot trying to stay dry and certainly would not rule out playing this pretty course again with lots of charm.

We didn't realize until recently that this is open to the public. Though not quite as manicured as some of the big name courses along Michigan's gold coast, the condition of the fairways and greens is excellent. The design is interesting with some great views of Lake Michigan.

Whilst on holiday visiting family and friends we played this course many times. The staff are really friendly and helpful. The club house serves excellent food at good prices. The course is maintained to a very high standard with breathtaking views of the lake, I can not recommend highly enough this course it is a real gem

Beautiful course, but couldn’t get anyone to check us in even though the guy standing there was clearly not busy doing anything but try to avoid us. On top of that, the course was so overbooked that there were multiple groups waiting to tee of but couldn’t because there were no carts. Very unhappy with the experience

This is a shorter course but challenging. A lot of the greens are sloped from back to front which makes staying on the green a challenge. The staff was very friendly.
