My husband and I looked forward to this trip for a year! We had driven around the lake the previous year, and hadn't known there were ferries that went across the lake. This was everything we expected; and we were so excited to be travelling...More

You stay busy for the whole voyage. Lots to look at. If you are going to go round trip in the same day, I might suggest a stateroom for rest, as it is 4 hours in both directions, plus loading and unloading passengers and vehicles....More

Took the badger on Sunday the 8th October. Beautiful fall day for a four sail across Lake Mi from Wi to Mi. Boat was delayed one hour due to late arrival and some humongous commercial tractor trailers that took some highly experienced driving to get...More

I rode with 4 friends across the UP to the Wisconsin Dells and we came back via the ferry. It was an excellent ride and very efficient how they load your car on. I would definitely recommend this to my friends!

The waves were from 8 to 10 ft The ship is old and outdated but is needed. Someone should invest in the company and help improve the conditions on the ferry. The list is long on what needs to be done from upgrading the food...More

Thanks for the feedback! Lake Michigan can sometimes be pretty rough, the Badger was built to sail year round in all kinds of conditions and we have a number of remedies on board for motion sickness. We are continuously upgrading the passenger amenities, the current...More

What a wonderful time we had ! The staff were helpful and friendly. I loved the stateroom but the deck was my favorite. The museum was very interesting and the food was good! An excellent value.

I was very skeptical about taking the Badger, having lived in WI for some 60+ years and being able to avoid it this long. Was I wrong! It was a fantastic experience! The staff was very friendly, attentive, and accommodating. The ship was old (which...More

When we traveled in the summer, it got so hot in the car that my deodorant melted. Just be sure the temperature is safe for your cats to stay in the car.
