This is a great place to go with young kids when it's raining. We were here for nearly three hours and my kids (10, 8, 2) didn't really want to leave, but were getting hungry. There is a lot to do, the different exhibits are thematically consistent and interesting and very interactive for the kids.

What a great place for kids. It had so many stations for the kids that it didn’t feel crowded despite how busy it was. Three floors of fun intereactive things for our 2-8 year olds that were with us. And it was kept very well clean!

I was on vacation with my young son and we were looking for something in the morning to do that was out of the sun and offered a fun experience for a busy boy. I was coming expecting to stay an hour or so, but we were there for almost three hours and could have stayed longer if it wasn’t lunch time. There were numerous exhibits that offered different types of play. The museum was clean and offered plenty of space for kids to play and explore. We will be stopping again when in the area next. This is a go to place with kids!

A small museum with lots of hands on activities that the kids enjoyed, but the signs everywhere asking for help putting things away and rules about not moving things from one place to another seem out of touch for a place that's supposed to cater to kids. Kids want to carry the dolls and stuffed animals around and they want to push the grocery carts from the store to the post office. That's called playing. We felt like we could play with things as long as we immediately put them back and played within parameters set by the staff, who constantly walked around picking up everything and re-sorting things. We didn't feel like the reason for the museum's existence, we felt like a nuisance to the staff. They could take a lesson from the Grand Rapids Children's Museum, where kids are allowed to take things from section to section and truly play and explore. Are things out of place and messy? Yes. Does that stop kids from having fun? Not one bit. And there are no signs asking adults to clean up there. Isn't that the staff's job, and what we pay admission for? I would never trash the place, but do I have to follow my child around and pick up everything she touches? I do that at home for free.
The place was also cold, especially upstairs. All of us had cold hands and feet and runny noses after a couple hours.
I think the kids had fun, but the adults felt constantly watched, which took a lot of the fun out of it.

Great place to visit especially on a rainy day. My daughter was 2-1/2 years old at the time we visited and she fell in love with the pizza and ice cream parlor, doll hospital and grocery store. Great value and friendly staff.

The only reason it wasn’t a 5 star rating is because there was no stroller/wheelchair accessibility to second and third floors and there was no air conditioning. When we visited, it was a hot day and the third floor was almost unbearable (granted we had been running around and hiking up and down the stairs). All things considered, we had an awesome time and will definitely return this summer!

This museum is a great place! Many hand-on activities for kids. Our grandkids, ages 7 to 17 months had a ball and so did we. From the grocery store, to the nursery, the stage, farm and plane, the kids were non-stop. Each area had something different for each child. This is a must visit place!

Would highly recommend this for kids from 2-10 years of age. We went to the Indianapolis Children's Museum with my 3 year old and paid triple the cost for 1/3 of the fun. The amount of time and effort put into the exhibits was outstanding. The staff were great and constantly picking up areas to keep it organized. We spent over 2 hours there and could have spent another 2 hours easily. I think we paid $6/person but would do it again. We come to this area about 1x month and think we will have to make this and the Lewis Petting Zoo two of our MUST have stops.

We took our grandkids there during spring break. There are so many adventures the kids can interact with. There is aviation, a veterinary office, farm interaction, a stage for singing and performing and several other smaller activities. They do have people that come in and interact with the children and help them with different projects.

Being from Cleveland and knowing the children's museum here as well as the huge ones in Toledo and Baltimore, I was not expecting much of the one in Ludington. I knew going in it would not be huge, but it was also $4.50 and not $25+ like the big city ones.

My 2 year old had a great time. They have a real airplane inside, a climbing wall, pretend stores, bank, etc... and some neat water tables with boats and bubbles and whatnot. The museum is clean and the manager is nice, but I would not expect to spend more than an hour here unless you just kick back and let your kids run amok. Please do not do that though, as it annoys those of us who like to experience things with our children and not ignore them.
