The Lansing River Trail has a great website, with a clear, informative map. We stared in Maguire Park, off Aurelius Road. Parking was available there, including a port-a-potty restroom. The trail was smooth and wide, with two lanes. Some sections were wooden boardwalks, others smooth...More

Unfortunately, the condition of the trail could be much better. Asphalt needs to be replaced in a number of areas where tree roots, etc have broken it up. The wood boards are quite noisy and a little uncomfortable when riding a bicycle. This is such...More

Get on and go! Ride a bike, jog or walk! Most of it is along the river and you will see parts of Lansing you won't see any other way.

We bike from Holt to Old Town multiple times during the summer. It is nice to be connected. I'm so glad they expanded and continue to expand. We oftentimes will find somewhere to eat for lunch downtown and bike home afterward. Well maintained.

We enjoy riding our bikes while others walk or run on the trail. It's wonderful to be able to be out enjoying the fresh air.

We have walked along the trail several times, even though we don't live or work in Lansing, and it isn't convenient for us. For MSU students or those who work in Lansing, it is a great, handy trail. We have seen interesting birds along it,...More
