if you love animals as I do the zoo is perfect. It is a smaller zoo within normal range price. You do have to pay to park which I thinks was $3 or $5. They have pony and camel rides. There is a small train that small children can ride for $3

This zoo is a nice size. It was very affordable and they had animals that I never seen at any zoo in IL. For example, they had a snow leopard and peacocks walking around so freely. I loved that this zoo is open all year round.

Unless things at the park have dramatically changed since I was last there - though the kids will love the petting zoo and other animal exhibits - as an Animal Rights inclined individual - I've mostly been very unhappy and even disgusted with the manner in which many of the animals were housed and caged. Bingo the elephant died, but... More

We went with my Mom and Dad in law, had a nice time. Nice smaller zoo for people like me that can't do a lot of walking. Plenty of shaded places to sit.

We were surprised to see all of the animals we did on our visit today! Almost every animal that was there was active because it was such a chilly day. The red pandas were playing and they are SO cute. I would go back just to see them again! It was a very nice, small zoo. We saw everything with... More

We went to see the Christmas Lights and weren't disappointed, it was a good night no snow (or rain) and not too cold. We really enjoyed the walk and even got to see a few animals. Was disappointed that they didn't have a senior rate for this just a standard rate of $7 for adults. Talked about coming back next... More

It was great that all of the organizations & businesses took the time to hand out candy & play games with the kids.

My 4 year old loves Potter Park Zoo. We buy the deluxe membership annually so we can always bring a friend with us for free. It's not a very big zoo so we usually spend 1.5-2 hours to go through everything each time, but that is perfect for entertaining a 4 year old. It's not on the same level as... More

Lots of animals, surprisingly professional and easy to get around. Nice event during Halloween, Holiday and other times of the year.

Great day trip if you're in the area! Reasonably priced with enough left over for the great gift shop! Everyone in our family enjoyed Potter Park. We will be back soon!
