It's not a huge museum, but yet there is a lot packed in there. It is located in a historic former post office building, so the architecture of the building is something to see in itself. I believe it was only $7 for adults. There is a wheelchair accessible entrance on the side of the building & a parking lot... More

We spent 2-3 hours exploring the various exhibits in the Holland Museum. They have some real treasures! The displays are well laid out and very approachable. We enjoyed learning about the history of the area . The collection includes unique folk art, cultural artifacts and some Dutch paintings. The large wardrobes on the second floor were very unique. We also... More

During my first visit to Holland, we went to the museum. It was a interesting look into the history of Holland. We learned about the early Dutch settlers and to growth of the city. I enjoyed hearing about Heinz products and other manufactures associated with the town. The glass churches were beautiful and the merry-go-round was fantastic. The staff at... More

We visited Holland MI on a weekend in September. I had bought groupons for this museum, and planned on making this a sunday outing. Only to find out it is closed on sunday when most tourists would be visiting. even if it wouldn't be open all day, it should have been open for a few hours. If I had know and... More

The first floor has artifacts from local Dutch settlement, with some displays of Native American and Hispanic culture as well. There are nice exhibits of local industries. When we were there, there was a rotating exhibit of antique toys. The second floor is occupied by a very Dutch art collection, including a small Rembrant print and antique furniture. The collection... More

Visited this museum with two middle schoolers and a 6 year old while vacationing in Holland. We got a great deal on Groupon (4 tickets for $10), so we decided to take a break from the beach and learn some area history. The museum docents were amazing. They were knowledgable and very helpful. Harley, in particular, took extra time to... More

The first floor has some good artifacts from Holland (the Michigan version). They are more meaningful if you know the Michigan history but will be okay even if you don't. The second floor has some nice furniture and art from Holland (the European version).

Spent a couple of hours viewing the exhibits in the Holland Museum. They do an excellent job of giving the history and development of the area. Nicely displayed and well labeled artifacts. A gallery of antique toys was also very interesting.
