Walked here from the nearby campground (about 15-20) min walk. There's a sidewalk that takes you right up to the shoreline next to the pier if you're wheeling any gear (we had a stroller so this was key). The downside is that the beach/water seemed...More

We lucky locals have access to this gem anytime of the year. Come July and August loads of tourist traffic but adds to the ambiance of a "resort like" town. Family and dog friendly beach. Michigan passport makes this an even better deal. Sugar sand,...More

Climbing the dunes on a hot day was fun and tiring. Amazing views from the top of the dunes. Then we walked down to the beach and enjoyed the afternoon! This place is clean and a perfect place to enjoy the beach and lake.

Beautiful beach was very busy but well kept. Beach house had a nice choice of food and snacks. Water was cold but the kids didn't mind. They went jet skiing.

Not very many parks have Chrystal clear blue waters that looks good enough to drink let alone white sand. I love coming to Lake Michigan because it reminds me so much of Florida.

Little general store, ice cream available, restaurant, boat launch nearby. Walk the pier, etc.Tunnel park(no camping) close...More

We stayed at the Macatawa campground aka - overflow, in June. The bathrooms are the nicest I have ever encountered in a state park. The Lake Michigan beach is quite a walk from the campground, so we drove. The Lake Michigan beach is huge and...More

I am not sure but I believe I remember seeing dogs on some of the beaches. I did not have a dog with me so I was not paying particular attention.
