Very interesting tour of the incredible machinery used during the late 1800s to early 1900s for copper mining. Cog wheel train car ride to the base of the mine, then a custom mining car ride into the depths. Great tour. Worth every penny.

This museum gives an extensive explanation of copper mining on the Keewanah. From the above ground buildings to the underground portion all facets of mining are well presented.

Took my wife and three girls and they all loved it. Knowledgeable tour guides took us deep into the mine. Very impressive, and one of a kind experience. You will not be disappointed.

This Keweenaw National Heritage site is definitely worth a visit, even if you're a local like me who has lived here for years and never explored the heaviest steam hoist of its kind in the world. Explore aboveground, then take a scenic tram down the...More

Took a lot of time exploring the buildings and reading information while we waited for our tour. This was a great experience even without the tour. But the tour was an excellent finish. Guide was pleasant and informative. The cog railway ride down to the...More
