We have visited many zoos in similar size across eastern US and overall this one is slightly below average. Seems a lot of displays had glass that was fogged up with moisture where you couldn’t see animals. Some walking paths were dirt and messy. Parking...More

We love frequenting the zoo but it’s definitely more affordable on Zoo Days (hosted by Meijer). We love all the activities the event has for kids. Busy or not it’s worth it! The zoo is kept up nicely and there’s a fair share of animals....More

This zoos really nice, on the smaller side. Parking can create quite a walk when it's busy. All the animals habitats are clean and well kept. Maximum three hour visit I would say. Alot of very nice places to sit and eat!!! You can pet...More

This zoo is well done even though I do not like the idea of any zoos unless the animals cannot live in the wild. A lot of the animals are rescues.

If you have young children then this is the place to be. The grounds are nicely manicured and they have play areas for the kids. I do NOT recommend this place if you are an adult who just loves animals. You will be disappointed. I’ve...More

John Ball Zoo is easy to access from l-196. Lots of parking. A large picnic area where you can feed the geese and stroll around a small pond. Just be aware of all the goose "waste". The Zoo has expanded over the years. The Crawford...More

Nice zoo. I would not say there is anything that stood out as special but rather a nice mixture of what you would expect a zoo to be.

Yes, there is parking available for buses and RV's. There is also no cost street parking all around. Depending on when you're visiting you can usually find plenty of parking!
