This is the sixth Presidential museum that we have visited and it is very well done. The exhibits are easy to view and interesting and provide an expanded historical perspective of the mid-1970's that was intriguing. Well worth the visit.

renovated museum just reopened in the last few months, and the displays are well worth a visit to learn more about the history and presidency of an unassuming man. Some of the interactive electronic exhibits weren't working well, but the artifacts were well chronicled. LOVED the life-oval office display. $8 for adults- plan to spend 2-3 hours. Plus, we saw... Our visit to the Gerald Ford Museum was a great way to spend some time before the Thanksgiving holiday. The exhibits are very informative, well designed and doesn't take the entire day to see. We also want to compliment the employees. All were friendly and very helpful. The grounds were beautiful and very clean. Kudos to Grand Rapids and the... More

This is the third Presidential Museum I've visited. All 3 (Lincoln and Truman) track the lives of Presidents who governed in extraordinarily difficult times for this country and had to make tough decisions for the good of the country - decisions that were very controversial. This museum helps you understand a man (and his family) thrust into the Presidency. It... More

The Ford Museum is truly a local site demanding your attentive visit. It'll move you back into a period in history that many of us recall with some nostalgia and fondness. One senses the feel of the "Oval Office" as well as recalls the integrity of a congressman and subsequently, a president who believed that his duty was to serve... More

Stopped to take up some time and so glad I did. This museum is very well done and informative. Ford was a man with integrity And the exhibits show that. They say to allow an hour but we stayed for 2 hours. Well worth the time and money.

I enjoyed remembering President Ford and his family when I visited the Gerald R. Ford Museum. The exhibits tell of the life of President Ford and also of his leadership in Congress and then as President of the US. I visited the museum again during ArtPrize - what a great venue for this art contest!

I am not a history buff. I knew nothing (and cared nothing) about Gerald Ford. I tagged along to this museum because my dad really wanted to go. It turns out, Gerald Ford had a pretty interesting life! The museum itself is in a lovely location on the river, and it's a very pretty and well done building. I read a... More

As Presidential Museums go, this one is not overly spectacular, a lot like Ford himself. He was the only U.S. President who was never elected. He was a profound and decent man and the museum reflects this side of him. Both he and his wife are buried on the grounds.
