This small museum is dedicated to transportation. It contains exhibits mainly on ships and trains. My favorite part of this museum is the building itself. It is an historic building with a beautiful interior, which is representative of the building's age.

This was a nice museum, but its not all about trains, which was more interesting. It had trains but also about the shipping industry which was huge for this area and also a few odds and in thrown in. Nice fee excursion

passing visit when out on walk into town - interesting bit of history of the importance of the railroads in the area to the development of large scale logging & distribution across the USA

Thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed the informational panels. I hope you can stop by over summer when we hold an Ice Cream Social and open up the train for tours! Usually in August- keep an eye out for information!

This Museum is rather unique because it is a two part museum, one portion is indoors and the other is outdoors. You see they have the Pere Marquette train similar to the train seen in Polar Express which is outdoors and accessible all year long....More

This is a nice extra in Grand Haven. It's on Harbor Dr. on your way in/out to pier, beaches, Grand Haven shops, etc., etc. There are lots of nice little things along Harbor Dr. This one always gets nice reviews for their volunteers.....it's a free...More

Small informative transportation museum describing travel and rescue on Lake Michigan. Admission is free, even though donations are appreciated. Friendly and knowledgeable college student working the front desk.
