Free fun and great for kids. It can be difficult to find especially if you use GPS which has you drive in circles through the neighborhood but it's obvious once you find it. Elks can be far away to view but we got lucky

Visited the town of Gaylord and the elk park was a nice surprise. The GPS took us through a neighborhood and into what seemed to be the local waste management area. But that was where at least some of the elk were located! Counted about...More

We had a bit of a problem finding the park. The literature seems to indicate the you can actually drive around the perimeter, but I don't think you can. We saw several elk close up and many others at a distance.

Fun place to take an apple and enjoy the big elk roaming about. Please don't feed them! Sometimes parking is limited. Don't park in the Elks Lodge parking lot. Get out, stretch your legs and bring your binoculars!

Great place to take the family (all ages) and watch the elk. A fairly big herd. Such beautiful huge animals.

We were able to watch the herd as its members settled hierarchy issues at feeding time. It was both entertaining and educational.

Usually the elk are pretty far away but on this last trip they were right by the fence. Got some awesome photos.

Stopped at Chamber of Commerce to find out exact location. It is next to the Elks Club (they were hosting a pumpkin party so a lot of kids). We saw a few (5) elk next to the fence and a few more off in the...More

hmm, well I personally wouldn't, I'm sure its okay as long as dog was leashed and not barking. area is fenced in, but a dog barking could possible scare deer or elk
