- Tonya K2 contributionsAnniversary getawayWe went for our 33rd wedding anniversary. We stayed at the Frankenmuth motel, very clean room and front desk service was friendly, and polite. We ate breakfast one morning at DaVincis, wonderful waitress, friendly and attentive. Food was reasonably priced, very good and portions were big. We had our anniversary dinner at Poblanos, again very friendly waiter, quick, helpful and attentive. Food was very good and well priced with ample portions.Thank you, 851tonyak, for taking the time to leave this review! I am so happy to hear that you enjoyed your little getaway to Frankenmuth for your anniversary. Congratulations to 33 years! - Joseph MStow, Ohio89 contributionsVisit both day and nightWe took pictures at night, and visited during the day. We did watch a presentation and make a purchase. Most of the store is either a lot to look at, or the place you would want to shop if you have "themed Christmas trees" as there are ornaments for (almost) any type of tree theme that you want to have.Thank you, josephm44224, for this kind review! I am so happy to hear that you got to take some pictures at night. Seeing all the outdoor lights is just breathtaking and will get anyone in the Christmas spirit. Every evening at dusk until midnight Bronner's ½-mile Christmas Lane is illuminated with over 100,000 lights. - Jaime FHamilton, Canada76 contributionsBusy busy busy!I’ve been here a few times and it’s never been a disappointment! Anyone who loves the Christmas season will love this store any time of the year. I’ve been here at different times in the year and I found this time the busiest…so if you’re not a fan of crowds I would avoid here Nov/DecThank you, Wildra88it, for this kind review and recommendation! So happy to hear that no matter what time of the year that you visit that you have a wonderful time. Yes, we agree that if crowds are not your thing, we recommend coming during the week around the holidays or even shopping during the summer months since a lot of our new stock is arriving then. Even though we have over 2.2 acres of salesroom space, weekends during the holiday season do get quite congested.Written 29 November 2023This response is the subjective opinion of the management representative and not of Tripadvisor LLC.Visited November 2023Travelled with familyWritten 21 November 2023
- Dave LCincinnati, Ohio277 contributionsOrnaments GaloreWe visited this store on a Monday - one week before CHRISTmas. The shopping is all on one level and easy to navigate. They have all the things you would want to decorate your house for CHRISTmas, including Hallmark, Jim Shore, and replica village items. What I most remember are the many dozens of themed ornament families, ranging from animal types to countries to traditional types. Outside, the store is decorated as you would expect with many lights and related items.Thank you, DDLOhio, for this kind review and recommendation! Glad to hear you enjoyed our large, varied selection of items (just over 50,000, including 8,000 styles of ornaments). Not only is there a lot to see inside the store but the outside.....wow! Every evening at dusk until midnight Bronner's ½-mile Christmas Lane is illuminated with over 100,000 lights. Truly breathtaking! - Tammy CBerea, Kentucky343 contributionsBest Christmas StoreI love all the Christmas stuff here. I had a nice day with my girls. I was happy to see they had many registers open so there weren't long lines. The store was packed. We came at a busy time so parking was hard to find. They do have a huge parking lot that normally isn't too bad, but on a Saturday before Christmas, it was busy. I bought a bunch of nice ornaments you can't find anywhere else. They have any type of ornament you can think of and all types of Christmas stuff.Thank you, GrannyTammy01, for this wonderful review and for sharing your precious photo! I am so happy to hear that you and your girls had a great time visiting Bronner's and that you found some treasures to take back home. The parking lot is definitely huge with over 1,470 spots, but they do fill up quite quickly during the weekends in November and December. Just casually walking through the store took us an hour and then another 15 minutes to walk over to the Silent Night chapel. After you visit, stop at the Frankenmuth shops. Very cute town. I don't know where to start. After several years about hearing of Bronner's Christmas Wonderland, my wife and I with another couple decided to take a trip to Frankenmuth MI. Thinking that Bronner's was going to be a fabulous place to shop for some wonderful Christmas decorations. Also with them saying it was the largest Christmas shop, the expectations were high. The overall experience was just average for a shopping trip. The store has many items from ornaments, nativity sets, Christmas trees, and some outdoor decorations.
The store is overwhelming when it comes to ornaments. If you are looking for a specific type of ornament, you will find it in their enormous selection. With that being said you can save on the cost of a trip by looking for the ornament that you would like on-line and save the additional cost of a trip. It would be better to spend cost on shipping than gas, hotel, and food. They have numerous artificial trees which have top end prices. You can find some window decor and some oversized decorations throughout the store. Once again, you may be better served by buying them on-line. Though it is good to see what you may be buying.
One of the neat things is the outside decorations of the store. At night it looks like they are decorated for Christmas no matter what time of year you visit there. This is better than average on selection of ornaments, but, just average if you are expecting a store that would WOW you past selection. I'm sure if you are in the months of Christmas, you would have more of a holiday spirit approach to the store and I can see where it would be packed with customers getting their last minute decorations in order.

Thank you, johnIT5635QB, for taking the time to leave this store review! We may not have wowed you inside the store, but the outside sounds like it did the job. For those that can not travel to our CHRISTmas Wonderland to see the 50,000 plus items we carry, they can see a small fraction online or call your customer service department.

We visited to buy a specific item that we have purchased in the past. We have several of them, a hanging ornament of a cruise ship. Each time we take two more cruises we purchase another one of these ornaments and have them personalized with the name of the last two ships we sailed on.
This visit was not as pleasant as past visits. We knew that there were two similar items but we were only able to find one on the shelf. We asked a worker and were told to ask someone else; she didn't know anything about it. Instead of taking us to someone else or bringing them to us, she pointed. We went to that employee and was told everything they have is on the shelf. I expressed that there were two similar items listed on the website but only one on the shelf. I was told I was mistaken. I went and got my phone from the car and I was correct. We purchased what was available but it made me mad that I was challenged when I knew that I was correct. It wasn't the friendliest experience this visit.
The we stood in line for quite awhile to pay. Someone opened another register and rather than pulling us over into the newly opened lane, she waved a customer over that was just coming into the payment area.

This is a fun indoor experience when we are visiting during the Winter (or any time of year) with the kids - the kids enjoy doing the ornament scavenger hunt, and there are a lot of beautiful displays.
As stores go, it can be expensive, especially if you are just looking for basic stuff, but it's always fun to find a special/unique ornament and we also have a lovely advent candle holder we bought here when we first got married.
It can be very crowded though, and a little overwhelming - especially with kids. It's easy to get lost, but there are a lot of signs to orient you.

Lisamarie L, thank you for this kind review and recommendation! It is wonderful to hear that you and your family had such a good time while visiting our store and that the kiddos enjoyed the scavenger hunt. With over 2.2 acres of salesroom space, we like to offer up a map to our guests as they enter so they know exactly where they are at and what there is to see as they are perusing the store. By far the largest selection of Christmas items ever! There are ornaments for anything you can think of from occupations to fruits and vegetables! The store is very large so plan to spend some time as there is plenty to look at.. they also offer personalization on items and some are free! They also have a concession/snack area, and the store plays Christmas music the entire time. Outside is cutely decorated and inside has a fun Christmas atmosphere. Only downside is pretty much most of the items are overpriced but still worth going. We usually go annually and would recommend checking out at least once!

If you ever wonder the next time you get to visit whether something can be personalized or not, just look at the price tag. If it has a red 0 stamped on it, then it can be personalized for free (word limits do apply).

When ordering online, be aware; if you want to return an item due to anything other than a manufacture defect with the merchandise, Bonner’s will not reimburse the cost for you to return the item. In my case, and according to UPS, the cost to return a five pound box (slightly larger in order to hold a 16” tree topper) will cost me $47.00! Bonner’s charged me $11.99 to ship the item. I asked if they would send me a shipping label for $11.99 and charge my credit card....they said no. Every other company I have ordered products through has superior customer service when it comes to returns. Bonner’s, as large and profitable as it is, and in good faith, might want to reconsider their return policy.

Thank you, C1488EXalicel, for taking time to leave us a review! We do appreciate the feedback. Should an item in a customer’s order arrive broken or defective, or if an error was made on our part in filling the order, we issue the customer an email with a prepaid return shipping label. If a customer changes their mind after receiving an order, they are responsible for the shipping cost to return the item for a full refund of the cost of the item. If you want to avoid the hassle of shipping it back, you are more than welcome to bring it to the store with your receipt within 90 days for a refund of the cost of the item.

The experience provided the feeling of Christmas with its larger-than-life ceiling ornaments and packed decoration tables. However, the items available for purchase have become far more commercial than when I visited years ago. This is a good thing for those looking to budget-spend, but not for those seeking unique, handmade items for the season.
Be sure to check out the city itself, however, because Frankenmuth is a true Christmas town.

Thank you, Reba H, for taking the time to leave this nice review! Glad you had a good time visiting our little town. It is a very special place! We are sorry that you were disappointed with our ornament selection compared to years ago. We do carry over 50,000 trims and gifts for all seasons, reasons and budgets. Many of our items sell for under $10, and two-thirds sell for under $20 that way everyone can find a treasure or two to take back home with them.

We had a wonderful time here (however Christmas is my favorite holiday so I was excited to go). They are the largest Christmas Store in the world. You will need a good 2-3 hours to shop if you love to decorate like us. They have more ornaments than I have ever seen. We bought some Christmas lights and they have a wonderful discount sale section that we stopped and bought some items. If you are a Michigan State fan (yuck), they have a ton of clearance items for you lol. They wrap all your purchases to keep from getting broken.

Maybe I don't have the Christmas spirit. Maybe my vision is entirely off. I had imagined this place being like a winter wonderland with many, many beautiful displays. Not the case. It is just a large store selling Christmas decorations with minimal display type areas, imo. Very kitchy.
If you are an all year long Christmas fanatic, then yes this could be your thing. I am more a fan of the creepy so I tend to gravitate more towards that. They do have a little bit of creepy mixed in with the cheer, you just have to look for it. We found a super creepy man on the moon ornament that had my son's initials on it, which made it even creepier because they all had those initials. No clue what they actually stand for, but it was a great find for us. I don't regret going.

Thank you, 680amberc, for taking the time to leave this nice review. I am sorry to hear you were disappointed with our displays. We have a few photo ops throughout the store but most of our big displays are up on the catwalk so don't forget to look up the next time you visit. EC on your man in the moon ornament is for the ornament designer, Eric Cortina. Now that would be very creepy if that was your son's name too. LOL! ;)

This is a destination for anything Christmas. It is so large they give you a map when you enter (and you need it). They have a restaurant that is currently closed due to covid. It’s impossible to describe everything they have. You could easily spend hours and hours here. A must stop if you are in the area. You won’t be disappointed.

Do you supply electric scooter chairs for customers to use?
Written 13 May 2021
Hello, Jacqui! Bronner's does not have motorized chairs to use, but we do make regular wheelchairs available to our guests at no charge. If you don't want to haul your scooter all the way from Indiana and a manual wheelchair will not do, another option is to contact Leslie Rental in Frankenmuth at (989) 652-6693. They rent motorized carts and will arrange a delivery and pickup. Hope to see you soon!

How long is the average wait in line to get in? Due to COVID restrictions, I have heard it takes awhile before you can enter.
Written 28 September 2020
Thank you, Jennifer, for the question. The Governor of Michigan just raised retail capacity for stores our size so we are now allowed 5x's what we were able to until now, so not anticipating much if any wait in next few weeks.

There is a shuttle that runs between Zehnder's restaurant and Zehnder's Splash Village (which is right next door to Bronner's) that might be an option, but there is no public transportation.

They rent motorized carts and will arrange a delivery and pickup. Hope to see you guys soon! Safe travels!
