While visiting new places, I like finding little lending libraries and donating books. After making a delivery across the street from the park, we decided to continue our walk. Lots of kids playing, a group sat around a picnic table, and it appeared there was an ice cream truck there (which appeared to be closed.)
It was a lovely spot.

An awesome park on the lake has many things to make your day .It's a hilly and flat park with plenty of open and shaded space. A large playground for the kids. Access to a small beach area. An outdoor auditorium where bands play. Access to a marina. Some scattered Frisbee golf targets. A short walk will get you to the lighthouse or stop in at the shack and rent a bike. A few vending machines are around, Plenty picnic tables and trash receptacles.
Lot of weekend activities, so make sure to check for information.

Beautiful park. Lots of options to access the water. Very big park. So enjoyed driving through it. Probably one of my favorite. My 1st time there as we were driving through. If ever in the area make sure to check it out, even if its just to drive through. We drove through during the week on a wet dreary day but still was a great experience.

This park offers something for e everyone. The park was very green and beautiful.
Relaxing in the park looking over the water brings peace l of mind. If you are here , there is band concerts and sail boat races.
After the park, take a tour of the island to appreciate the area.

This park offered something for everyone. The beach was easily accessible and parts of it are dog friendly. The water is very shallow, which would be great for kids. There are paths for walking or biking, a large play area, and it is a short walk or bike ride to see the lighthouse. Well worth a stop along your way.

Ludington Park, here in Escanaba, Michigan, is certainly a very special Park. I am happy I checked Trip Advisor and saw it ranked as the Number One Attraction. There are several very special areas within Ludington Park.
The Veteran's Memorial. The Municipal Swimming Beach.. The Band Stand and environs. The PHENOMENAL Children's Playground.
I am posting a fair number of photos showing each of these areas.
Lastly, you can NOT visit Ludington Park without seeing the Lighthouse and Museum both located at the (is it) South end of the park.

This quiet park that runs along the sandy shore of Little Bay de Noc is a great place to stroll through or spend several hours. The water views are beautiful especially at sunset. The gazebo is a picturesque site for weddings and photo shoots. The lighthouse is a popular photo stop. There is recreation for all ages: large timber play ground, volleyball and tennis courts, disc golf, fishing, swimming, and boating. During the winter this is a poplar spot for ice fishing. Bicycles are available for free at the Marina and the wide asphalt paths are easy to navigate. During the summer, kayaks and paddle boards can be rented at the Beach House. Picnic tables and grills in the pavilion or under shade trees are perfect for a family picnic. Don't worry...all important Bathrooms are centrally located. Thirsty? A food vendor sells icecream and cold drinks. The band shell provides a venue for for music on Monday and Wednesday nights throughout the summer. Special events such as the Art Fair take place in the park. This park is dog friendly but they must be leashed.

The park is clean and there is much to do there. You can grill, play tennis, disc golf or go to the beach on Aronson Island.
The beach isn't too crowded but unfortunately, the beach house is only open between 12:00 and 7:00. Still a nice place though.

Visiting from out of town, we stopped at this park to stretch our legs on a Sunday afternoon. What a great park! We enjoyed the large swings, and there are so many of them! There was so much going on, and you could really feel the sense of community. A band playing, people playing tennis, soccer, etc. Families with small children enjoying the playground, and a concession stand with drinks and ice cream. We walked all over the park and then down the beach. Our doggie also just loved exploring this park! We will definitely

Yes right off the point at the water plant you can fish and catch walleye from shore.

I don't think dogs are allowed on the guarded part of the beach but they are allowed in the rest of the park as long as they are under control and cleaned up after. And there is plenty of beach that is unguarded.
