Overlook 9 is where it's at. Just WOW. No words can really describe the beauty and surrealness of Lake Michigan at Sleeping Bear Dunes.

My husband and I are visiting from Florida. Read about this drive on TripAdvisor and decided to check it out. SO GLAD WE DID! Well worth the $15/car entrance fee. (Includes fee to Sleeping Bear Dunes). The fall foliage and scenic overlooks of the lakes...More

Went to see Dunes .. it was a scenic drive. The forest was such a peaceful place ... the drive was scenic and several stops to see Dunes. I stopped a few times and walked into the woods ... it was lovely.

What a relaxing option when you need a break from hiking. It is located relatively close by car to the visitors center in Empire. Keep the guide the ranger gives you as it has small snippets of the history at each point. We felt a...More

The history of this drive makes it worthwhile to experience. Some of the stopping g points were drivebys for us. Others we spent quite a bit of time. Well worth the entry fee.

A beautiful drive with scenic views. We went on a Friday, before the weekend rush. Imagine this will be super busy in a few weeks when the colors change.

A beautiful 7-mile drive with pull-over spots for admiring and taking pictures. We went on a slow-ish day. The only crowd was at the Lake Michigan overlook.

This was a driving tour. Fortunately we had our parks pass. The road was in great shape. It's $15 if you don't have a pass. Two great pull outs for views and great views they were.
