It was along our route so stopping here was not out of our way. If you have been to many local tourist railroads and train exhibits you will probably be disappointed if you go out of your way to stop here, there's not that much to see here. I reviewing and rating this as someone who visits railroads and railroad... More

There was nothing extraordinary about the Durand Union Station, it was clean and apparently closed and locked up until people arrived to be boarded on the train. I would like to advise everyone that the GPS device my ride was using did not take us to the train station but to another site in Durand a few blocks away. Nothing... More

If you love Christmas than this is the place for you. Every December the depot is filled with Christmas trees that are decorated by members and groups from the community. It is beautiful. The depot is a great place to visit any time of the year. It is a wonderful old building. Trains run past it and you can watch... More

We love it here. Take your kids. The diamond crossing is a real treat and makes it special. These are rare and are hard to find a good observation point for but Durand has one. Be sure to check out the model RR layout and museum too.

The restored Durand train depot is impressive. The photographic history, the museum pieces, the restored building and the descriptions of the station in its hey day. It is still an operating station, although much less active than in past years, nice diamond crossing.

This is a well restored railroad station. The people here are very hospitable. The museum is very well done. This was a good place to watch trains but the train traffic has decreased.
