About
Home of the Detroit Tigers, this is no ordinary ballpark. Combination theme park, ballpark, and baseball museum, it features huge statues of tigers, a Ferris wheel, carousel (with tigers, of course) and a fountain that celebrates each home run with colored lights and music.

First visit to Comerica Park - like all newer baseball parks, lots to do besides the game. Don’t freak out over getting parking in advance. Closest online prices were $50; we opted to get to the park and work our way out and quickly found Lot 5 (I think city parking) for only $30 and 2 blocks to the entrance. East in and east out (about an hour before the game.)

I have been to 25 MLB stadiums, and Comerica Park is the most friendly and welcoming of them all. From the security guards at the entry gates to the concession workers, everyone had a positive attitude and a desire to help. Although it wasn't a sellout, the fans were courteous and focused on the game.
The ballpark itself was built in a mostly retro style with easy wayfinding, comfortable seats, and great sightlines. The Tigers have a rich history, and it's shared in a variety of displays and statues throughout the main concourse. There are many other unique touches like the massive tiger statues and carousel.
There are a variety of concessions with reasonable prices, and everything was clean and well-maintained. Unlike many stadiums, the sound amplification isn't overly loud. Getting in and out of the stadium was very easy and safe using public transit. Overall, this is a wonderful place to catch a ballgame. Great job, Detroit!

I had the opportunity to visit Detroit for a weekend baseball series and decided to take a ballpark tour before a Friday game. Let me tell you, the staff and tour guides were amazing! They pointed out all the smaller details you might miss during a game day, making the experience truly special.
Comerica Park, though considered "older" by today's standards, is fantastic and fully up-to-date with technology. The pre-game experience is phenomenal! If you have kids, this ballpark is a dream come true. From face painting to a carousel and a Ferris wheel, there's plenty to keep even non-baseball fans entertained.
The architectural details, both inside and outside the park, are stunning. The integration of Michigan companies, big and small, is a testament to local pride. The scoreboard, second in size only to the New York Mets', is magnificent and perfectly placed to avoid obstructing the downtown skyline view.
Having visited over 15 MLB ballparks in the last five years, I can confidently say Comerica Park ranks in my top five. It's a ballpark I fully intend to return to as time permits!

Comerica Park is a great place to see a baseball game. The ballpark is very clean and well run. Ticket prices are reasonable. The concession stands are numerous and well staffed. The sight lines for watching the game are very good and there is plenty of legroom in the lower bowl seating area. There are plenty places to eat outside the ballpark and parking areas are easily accessible. Food choices are abundant inside the stadium. The lines move fast and the staff is pleasant, efficient and very courteous.
The Tigers did a nice job capturing the history of the organization throughout the ballpark. Make sure to check out the statues in left field as well as the areas along the main concourse that provides the history of the Tigers.
Comerica Park has a very strict bag policy. Please check the Tigers website for guidance prior to heading to the ballpark.

It is a central park with good vehicular access, as in all scenarios the parking lot near the stadium is worth $30 dollars as you move a few blocks away is better. On the street it's $4. Inside everything is expensive a small hot dog $8 dollars. But the stadium is nice, good atmosphere and very bacano

This is a first rate stadium in the heart of downtown. I agree with a prior review: The sight lines are very good, and the food and beverage choices are pretty extensive and pretty good. Prices are much lower for tickets than in many other cities.
One note: The Tigers are a frustrating team that cannot seem to score many runs. Regardless, Comerica Park is worth a visit.

We stopped in Detroit during a road trip. Was a bit hesitant given the city's rep, but I'm glad we did. The ballpark is very nice and the surrounding area is well kept and we felt very safe. Good amount of places to eat before/after a game. Hopefully I'll have the opportunity to be back and explore the city more. Definitely go if you have the chance.

Downtown ballpark walking distance from many hotels with lots of character, great views of the downtown and very good atmosphere. My husband was concerned about our safety until we got there. Heard stories about Detroit but was not concerned at all once we saw where the venue was and the amount of people Coming and going from the park. This appears from an outsider to be a very safe part of the city. There are always going to be people outside of these parks hitting you up for donations and things of that nature. Just ignore them and keep moving which is what most people do. Very unique ballpark with lots of niche areas to get food and hang out. We sat in an area that was called the tiger Den as I recall! These are old school seats that are like going to the ball park in the 20s. They resemble wooden chairs with coushions and tables and you’re not crammed in next to people. There was even a carousel in the food court for the kids. Which was a really neat touch. Overall top 5 or 6 of all the parks we have been to excluding the outside the park amenities

Love outdoor ballparks. Used third party for tickets. This is definitely a great place to watch a game. Lots of history of tigers while you walk around. Varied food vendors and I tried a bunch. Seats were not uncomfortable

Was in town for the nfl draft and decided to check out a tigers game tbh. Been here in other time years ago but was a fun time at the ballpark. My only complaint was the game was only 2 hours lol. But we actually ran in to some season ticket holders who had seats in the lions Den. Real nice guys who had 2 extra tickets and let us sit with them. So great view and a great time at the ballpark.

Hello, we are attending a game tomorrow. I have a question regarding the purse policy. Due to a recent c section, I have a need for feminine products (tampons, pads and wipes) that are larger than what is allowed in the 4x6x1.5 purse, along with a cell phone/ phone charger and card holder. Would this be considered medically necessary and can I bring a larger purse? I have 2 that are still very small but can hold what is needed. One is 9 x 7 x 2 with 1 zipper opening. One is actually less cubic space than the allowed amount but taller so the products will fit. 7 x 9 x 0.5 but has 2 zipper openings. What is another option for bringing them in if the purse is not allowed?
Also, can we have items clipped onto the strap (sunscreen, hand sanitizer)
Security answered with this: We ask that you keep the purse you use as small as possible but big enough to bring in your necessary items.
But no confirmation as to whether they would actually be allowed. Has anyone had an issue taking this stuff inside?

I purchased 3 tix on stubhub for the on deck circle tickets for the April 8th game. I just noticed today the tickets include access to the Tiger's Den and the Tiger's club. Now isn't one of those just the wooden padded seats many rows back with servers? Also my for the Tigers Den, is that located upstairs and inside? Will I need to make reservations? And Ive read there is a bar and buffet, I had been there many years ago and I remember it was a cash bar. But will we have access to the buffet or is there a price? I am curious. Taking my father for his birthday and retirement so I just want to make sure I have a good idea of the layout. Thanks so much everyone.

Are there any restrictions on what you can take into the park?

My family and I attended the Tigers game on April 23rd. We asked at the help desk on how to get a paper ticket for that game and they gave us a email for authentics. Authentics responded to me saying they only auction off tickets of special games. So my question is we were at the game on the 23rd shouldn't we be allowed to have a paper ticket from our seat that we paid for.

My Detroit tigers game got rescheduled to an earlier time and I live an hour and a half away. Will I still be able to get in if I get there after the gates open?
