Be well-rested for a visit here : you'll be walking. If you buy a ticket to go into adjacent Greenfield Village, make sure it's a nice day. Favorite time of year for this is Autumn or Spring. If it's Winter the museum is perfect and memorable. Locomotive exhibit is incredible. Call to see if the Edison Light-bulb exhibit has returned.... More

What a great museum, everything from Clothes to Farming to Science to Flight and American History. Oh yes and the cars are there too. We were only able to spend 5 hours here so we will have to return so we will be returning so we can see everything. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, this is a must see... More

This was not our first visit the Henry Ford. After visiting just 2 years ago, my family wanted to return. What an eclectic collection of what makes America great! They focus on innovation and that's exactly what you see there in the form of old machinery, train engines, cars, houses, electronics, etc. You should definitely visit this place.

This was my second time to the museum. The first time was with my girl scout troop; this time I came with my husband and teen son. Sooo much better! You really need to get there early and take your time. We read the signs, watched the movies did the hands on stuff and just talked and talked about the... More

Everyone will find something exciting at the museum. It's focus is mechanics and Americana. Mechanics: cars, trains, planes, turbines, assembly lines; Americana: homes through the ages (I particularly liked the 1980's setting), civil rights exhibit, and the freedom exhibit. Mathematics exhibit coming soon. We were also impressed with the Presidential vehicles. You can easily spend 3 hours in the Henry... More

We were primarily interested in the antique automobiles, but there's so much more! Definitely check out the locomotives and airplanes. There's also a 1952 Oscar Meyer Wiener mobile nest to the hot dog cafe!

Amazing to see the History of the American Auto Industry First Hand. The trains in the Building are Amazing. The Cars, Mind boggling, and The Aluminum House, Incredible. The Dymaxion House is a must see. So ahead of it's time. (and Dymaxion car, c.1933, artist Diego Rivera shown entering the car, carrying coat)

Visited the venerable museum for the first time in about 10 years and was very impressed by the offerings and renovations. The sheer expanse of the indoor facility can be daunting, but the well-thought out layout steers you in logical directions and weaves you through the various divisions. Docents were very helpful and abundant. Parking was ample and secure. A... More
