Best sandy beach/swimming area on Michigan's Lake Huron shore. Day use area has restrooms/changing rooms, and shady area for picnics. Beach is sweet and sandy, sandy-bottom swimming area, clean water. Beautiful sunsets over the water. Campground is across the road (M-25), with day area/beach accessible via skywalk from campground. Usually not crowded in Spring and early Fall Large mostly-shady campsites,... More

The campground is clean, the bathrooms/bathhouse in the north campground are newer than the south campground. We got for the cheeseburger festival every August, fun times, 4 miles away. The beautiful beach and day use area is across M-25, with a pedestrian bridge. The park staff are friendly and helpful. There is a party store that serves ice cream outside... More

Stopped in while on a leisure drive around the Thumb coastline - a windy cool day. Walked a short distance to the beach overlook - a great view. A very pretty park - lightly populated on a weekend after Labor Day.

We stayed one night at the County Park and left because of the very small campsites. This park has much larger campsites and is more relaxed and quiet. Very nice place to camp.

The online reservation system works well and gives lots of individual campsite info like lot size and ground cover. Easy access to beach with overhead walkway and large bathroom facilities and showers.

If you're heading north on 75, I'd recommend going up the western coast of the Saginaw Bay towards Tawas and Oscoda. We found the Oscoda Beach Park to be cleaner, classier, prettier, and less-crowded than Caseville's Sleeper State Park -- not to mention, you don't need to the state park pass at Oscoda. Caseville's Sleeper beach is not a bad... More

This is our first extended camping trip with our 3 year old and 5 year old. The park is nicely set up, with easy access to the nearby beach. The DNR staff are also very friendly and helpful. Most people quieted down around 10pm, although there are always those few that are loud until midnight or so. I didn't see... More

We camped here for four nights last week and were very impressed with this park. Its very clean and even though it was packed over the weekend, we were surprised how quiet it was. The sites are nice sized but they are sand and dirt so make sure to bring a mat to put down. They have nice fire rings... More

Nice park but you need to use the bridge to cross M25 to get to the water. Outside that there is nothing wrong with the park. The staff is great
