Cider is a popular seasonal specialty in Michigan and there are numerous mills to choose from, all of which produce outstanding cider. However, the Franklin Cider Mill is in a class all by itself. It produces what I like to call 'liquid apples'...cider which has a clarity, flavor, and smoothness like no other. No one can touch them. Be forewarned,... More

Nothing says "Fall" quite like fresh cider & a hot scrumptious donut! I may be biased as we live nearby, but Franklin Cider Mill donuts eaten hot & fresh are awesome. Their cider is always delicious too. They also have fresh roasted cinnamon sugar coated almonds which are really addictive. The apple pie bread is yummy as is the apple... More

Despite the high prices, this place attracts large crowds--especially on weekends. We live nearby and are surprised by the typical long lines and lively chatter. Aside from the cider and donuts, there are many vendors selling other food items such as meats, cheeses, jams, produce, etc.

The Franklin Cider Mill opens on Labor Day weekend and closes on Thanksgiving week-end. I have been going there every year since I moved to the area and now take my grandchildren. They have yummy doughnuts, apple pies and various apple varieties as well as delicious cider. Franklin is a very quaint town with some very cute shops and has... More

Nestled in Franklin Village which is a treat to be in in its own right due to the "brings you back in time" feel in such a quaint village...The Franklin cider mill is a treat for the whole family. The Apple cider is delicious...pair it with their fresh apple donuts...yummmm I ate a dozen myself...open in the fall and only... More

Came in for the Apple Cider and warm doughnuts. Brought our daughter here for the first time. Very fond memories of this place. The doughnuts arent fancy but boy are they good and the fresh cider is awesome. Great michigan apples as well. Worth the trip everytime.

There is nothing as delicious as the warm doughnuts and fresh squeezed cider. On a lovely fall day, sitting by the creek, eating, drinking and watching the ducks is heaven.

Buses come by these days to what used to be a quaint cider mill in an even quainter town. There used to be just cider and donuts--and a stream with ducks. Nowadays there's a lot more to entice tourists, from tractors to popcorn and candies, and the lines are long, but the season is short, and my grandchildren love it,... More

The cider is A1. Donuts good but sadly they only offer plain. They should consider another kind or 2. They have a nice setting out front, with a small Creek full of ducks.. The old water wheel is cool to look at. They have a much better variety of foodstuffs per the season to sell than many other orchards. Always... More

I came here after visiting Cranbrook Gardens and the Art Museum. It was just one building where you were able to see them press the cider and where they sell their ciders and donuts. There were also tents around the lot, selling various items like jams and cheeses. The donut and cider were both decent, nothing special. The donut was... More
