A little gem

I visited this gallery last weekend, and I was so surprised to find such an interesting collective of art appreciation, art for sale, and support for local artists.

Call me biased, but I love Artworks. I had the privilege of being the Education Coordinator from 2010-2014. This place brings the community together for art experiences, cultural events and excellent art exhibits. The Painted Turtle (Artworks' Gift Shop) is full of unique gifts from almost every media. Their education offerings are top notch and taught by professionals who have... More

Artworks in downtown Big Rapids has an exciting, ever changing choice of exhibits. Everything from Andy Warhol to a display from the 1920's to the children's artwork on display. Local artists are also showcased at Artworks. It is the best of all worlds.

Artworks is located downtown in Big Rapids. In addition to the exhibits, there is much artistic work for sale.

I love this place. The main floor is a gift shop with local art, the 2nd floor is a gallery with rotating exhibits, and there is a craft and pottery studio in the basement. They have social wine and painting classes, summer camps, and events all year. I really love shopping there.

Artworks is a gem located in downtown Big Rapids, Michigan. Exhibiting and selling Art made by local artists. It also houses classes and special traveling exhibits from artists as far away as Chicago and Mexico. Take a short detour and enjoy this oasis of creativity.

Artworks is more than a gallery. Although on the 2nd floor it does have wonderful exhibits year round, it also has a wonderful gift shop and offers exceptional classes for those interested in dabbling in the arts. Something for everyone. Art is the shop is provided by Michigan artists and priced affordably.
