My wife spent a very warm morning in Bay City, waking along the river trail. Before eating lunch we decided to take a drive and see Lake Huron. I checked the hybrid view on map... read more

Beautiful wetlands area just east of Bay City near the cuts around Quanicassee. We used to fish the cuts for perch many years ago but the nature area is a great place to view waterfowl and nature and get away from the rat race of life.

I checked the hybrid view on map quest to see where we could view the lake from the road. It appeared that Finn road dead ended by the lake so we rode... More

Spectacular. I'm a retired teacher of science and love nothing more than a close-to-pristine wildlands. This one requires only a short hike, and we had some mud to trek through to a most perfect wetlands with unlimited birds and frogs and fish and inverts, etc. Just what one would expect in a sanctuary.

Great little wildlife area and well worth the drive if you're staying in Bay City. We went for a lovely evening walk watching the sunset, lots of wildlife - insects, fish, birds and flowers. Beautiful area. Looks like you can walk pretty far down however the main footpath does seem to stop mid way to the lake. Take your fishing... More

Quanicassee in just east of Bay City. the wildlife area spreads for many miles. This looks like it would be good for duck hunting. I used to go to this area annually as a spot for shore perch fishing. I suspect that this was based on my dad's memory more than current reality. I believe that a small boat would... More
