we stopped in woods hole before two week's in martha's vineyard. the lighthouse is run by coast guard, across the street has nice picture taking area. below has private beach. awesome three minutes from woods hole, inns, hotels, coffee shops markets, restaurants, liquor stores, etc, ferry to vineyard.

Not open for visitors (yet) but makes a decent photo. Lighthouse keeper house is owned and operated by the Coast Guard (who was not there).

Had a perfect visit with out of town guests. This is Cape Cod. Anyone visiting for the first time should see the sights from here.

Very easy to find especially on a beautiful day! Be prepared to circle a few times! There are only 4 parking spaces! Worth the visit! Is only about 10 minutes from Downtown Falmouth, so stop by the lighthouse then head to dinner!

Lovely to see this majestic lighthouse. The public isn't allowed inside, but the views are incredible. Worth visiting.

We stayed in Boston for a few days and took a day tour to the Cape to rent a bicycle and explore the Cape. The light house was one of our quick stops. It wasn't open but you get beautiful views and the location is beautiful - perfect for a bike tour.

Really cool lighthouse, but you can't get into it except for certain hours. Gives a great view of the Vinyard Sound. Road is very narrow and windy. More of a landmark than a destination.

There is a nice walk down by the sea where you can see cormorants and get a look at Martha's Vineyard in the distance. Otherwise, this is just a lighthouse that is bordering by snooty mansions which are demarcated as DO NOT TRESPASS. Really barely worth visiting because it will take you less than two minutes.
