Summer Stock in Williamstown used be HOT. Richard Chamberlain., Blythe Danner and their ilk were the talk of the town in the former building. It had class and mystique. Many moons have passed since there has been a real "Broadway-type' of performance. This theatre is NOT for the disabled or handicapped. It is glass and square and cold. The seating... More

With two venues in one modern building, this great troupe of actors provides Bway-worthy performances. We saw a Wendy Wasserstein play, An American Daughter, and enjoyed it thoroughly. One caveat: arrive early because parking on site is limited to a two-deck garage. On sellout nights, its absolutely full. We finally parked in restricted spot and left immediately to get out... My wife and I saw a revival of Wendy Wasserstein's "An American Daughter" here. The production was excellent, but one visit is not enough for me vouch for how consistent the quality is. What I can say is that the theatre is modern, well-kept, and comfortable (with far more legroom than at most Broadway theatres). There is also ample free... More

The theater is set in a gorgeous setting in beautiful Williamstown, MA. The theater is part of Williams College and the large building also houses the school of theater and performance arts. There are two theaters in the building, the main stage for larger productions and a smaller theater for more intimate shows. Both theaters are gorgeous with unobstructed site lines... More

My husband and I have been coming to this theatre festival for about 20 years. We drive up from Connecticut at least once a summer. There have been some good shows and some great shows over the years. It's clearly a place that TV, movie and Broadway actors love to come to in the summer, so we've been privileged to... More

We gorged on two performances in two days. Wendy Wasserstein revival of 'An American Daughter' was masterful and seemed not to have aged in the 20 years since it laid out the problems of a woman being taken seriously and still being a woman. But the new two-person play about a couple facing the final good bye was the epitome... More

Our first time in Williamstown and it is a lovely college town. The theatre is first class in its quality and the performance we saw was most enjoyable.

Very good location for plays. Very cold air conditioning. Romance Novels for Dummies was not good. See another choice.

We saw two terrific shows with top notch acting. Celebrity sightings both in the shows and at the local restaurants. Good dining options but not much else to do in town. Great weekend trip with family or friends.

Amazing to see Broadway actors like Brenden F. O'Byrne and Leila Robbins in a small theatre in a new exciting play. Or see Marisa Tormei in a crackling production of a Tennessee Williams Classic. Always something good to see at Williamstown Theatre Festival
