It's the Big E...eat your way through the state buildings, then work your way through the fried foods, turkey legs, cotton candy, mini donuts and beer garden. Then go on th rides <lol>

This was my second year at the Big E. I still enjoyed the state buildings and the food stands. I was surprise about the increasing number of craft beer and liquor stands this year. Great way to wash down all the food sampling there.

This is not something I would do every year, but every 3-5 years works best for me. If you have never been, you should give it a try. Admission ($12/adult) and parking ($10) is not inexpensive, but there are discounts if you purchase in advance....More

Although in was born and raised in Connecticut, they started the Big E after I left. When I first went to the Big E, it brought so many memories of growing up in New England. It combined the sights, sounds, and food of my childhood!!

Had a great time at the fair. It is very large fair. Lots of animals, food and vendors. Recommend going the first day of it. Also find parking outside the fairgrounds. Extremely bad traffic getting here but otherwise had fun.

Have gone to the fair 4 years in a row, and find that while we enjoy the fair, once every 2-3 years would be more than enough. It doesn't change that much. The fair grounds have made good progress in improvements over the years. Parking...More

The Big E is immense. There's now an app ( like for Disney World) to help with allocating your time. The fairgrounds has cement or tar throughout so it's tough on feet and legs. Wear well cushioned, comfortable walking shoes and plan on alternating sitting...More

There is Parking for the BIG E on site or there is parking outside of it all along the street. Parking is 10.00 for all day. I prefer outside easier to get out when you want to leave.

Depends on your stamina, whether you have children with you, how crowded it is and what you want to see. Diffidently start before 10 and follow the previous suggestion of going to the barns first. The state houses are... More
