The Big E is the best thing in the Springfield area. The worst part is getting in. Traffic on this Thursday was difficult. But there is a whole day's worth of activities to attract you. We only had 3 hours, and we spent most of it in the section that has a building for each of the six New England... More

Not as great as it was years ago when there were more crafters & handmade goods for sale. The animals are my favorite part so they are always impressive but I wouldn't pay $15 admission because for 2 people plus the $10 parking it would've been $40 just to walk through the gate which is outrageous! I went @ 5pm... More

This is a must do!!! Each of the New England states have a building and in each building it has things that represent each state. Maine has a Baked Potato that you can buy and eat for $6. and all the money goes to the Farmers. The fried cheese cake was very good as a snack which was one of... More

Wow!! So happy I planned on spending 2 days at the Big E. Take your time and enjoy all the exhibits and displays. Don't pass by anything without checking it out first! For example-Tractor Supply Exhibit didn't seem like much- but was I surprised- free pictures of me "riding a bull", " riding a wagon through farmer Brown's Farm" and... More

Probably the last time we go, nothing ever changes. Same old same old, 90% of the food is fried and way over priced. Same vendors selling the same junk. And tons of stupid people.

This is our 3rd year attending the Big E. Our 4-H group spends time volunteering in a food booth in one of the State Buildings. During our spare time, we spend hours walking the grounds and try to see all there is! This fair has so much to offer: entertainment (free & paid), food, education, animals, rides, parades (both afternoon... More

For the New Englanders, this fair is the best. So much to do or see, you may not see it all in one day. The food vendors can't be beat. State buildings are fun to visit. The furry animals are wonderful. Great midway too. Have gone many times and enjoyed myself. Weekends can be extremely crowded so be prepared. It... More

I've been going to the Big E every year for about 6 years now. Every year has been fun. They have something for EVERYONE, whether it be food, demonstrations, animals, beer, rides, music, etc. I will agree with another reviewer that said you are paying to spend money. This is true. But what fair do you not spend money at?... More

The Big E is always great - food entertainment, shows, state buildings, horse shows, animals, 4H, rides, parade and vendors. There is something for everyone at the Big E.
