I never get tired of this 17-day annual event. I enjoy the usual walk-through of all of the buildings. We usually start off the day with breakfast at the W. Springfield Fire House. Then we plan the rest of the day around going to the...More
1st time to the Big E. We loved it! There is soooo much to see! The New England state buildings were interesting along with foods and products from each state. Tons to eat and drink. Lots of shops. Will definitely come back next year!
The Convention was held in both the Mallary Complex and the Young Building.
I brought my small RV camper to stay on site.
An excellent set-up for campers of all size around the Mallary Building. Power, water and sewer hook ups very well...More
Been going there for over 30 years. Each year it gets more and more expensive. It’s very difficult to afford for a family of four. Though the activities are good, but lines are long. Between parking, traffic, long lines and high costs. Our tradition will...More
The Big E is a wonderful place for a family. There are so many free shows and activities. We saw the circus which was wonderful, had lots of funny acts, animal acts and some dangerous ones. Comfortable seating. We also saw the Navy ensemble with...More
This place is huge. When I arrived on 10/27/18, it was raining. Only parking available was in the dirt and it was ugly. The buildings themselves weren't bad; however, the set-up (done by the MA Rabbit Club - not the correct name) was just awful....More

On Heywood Ave and Norman Ave (which are across the street from the BIg E entrance 4) there are private lots - and homes - renting parking spaces. the closest ones charge $20 to park on the weekends, and the price goes down as you move further away. We arrived around 10:30 on a Saturday, and pay $10 and its a 5 minute walk to the entrance. Later in the day the closest lots are full, you may pay more to be further away and have a 10-15 minute walk. Look at google maps to see the 'back way' into the area via rte 5/exit 4 off the Mass Pike.
