Very Nice for Low Key Visit

Accommodating staff and peaceful setting. The greenhouses are not large, but make a pleasant spot to visit.

It is easy to see that this is a place where they genuinely love and care about plants.Wished we could have spent more time there but the little time that we did taught us that plants(like all other living creatures )do thrive in a gentle and caring atmostphere.

My cousin held her wedding at the estate. The grounds are beautiful, old school elegance. The lawns are open and well manicured and the flower beds are beautiful. The walls and greenhouses in the back create a beautiful flash into the past. The mansion itself is well maintained and stunning. The details of the original build have been intact, puts... More

The growers of this greenhouse are very knowledgeable and friendly. Try seeking out the Mimosa Tree that sits back beyond the greenhouse, what a treat. This place is very interesting even for a novice. Please come and check it out. The house is beautiful and the guides are smart. Full of detailed information that ties history of Boston to Waltham.... More

A nice house tour in a house, one of many, owned by Historic New England. Of all the houses I have visited that are owned of this organization, this was the least interesting. The furniture was not particularly special as the house is used as a venue for catering. The gardens, however were lovely and the greenhouse was terrific. They sell... More

There is a beautiful greenhouse with lots of different plants and they sell beautiful hostas. Sometimes can be a great place just to walk around and relax.

We attended a wedding here and have returned repeatedly to the calm and quiet of the fragrant greenhouses with antique plants dating from colonial times as well as younger specimens. The staff are knowledgeable and attentive. Our Meyer Lemon tree blooms often and produces the most wonderful scents and plump, sweet and flawless lemons. For plant lovers, this is a... More

We went to a party here and the setting was incomparable. An old estate almost every room was open to the guests to explore. Furnished in period pieces it was a treat to actually sit and enjoy the rooms as they were once used, except I doubt they danced to 80s pop in the ballroom like we did! I recommend... More

I love going here. It's small but they have several plant sales and viewing. For example spring orchid week and herb sales. Also there is Camelia days. They're beautiful. I just go to walk around and look and smell sometimes, and take photos.

Thank Laurie L
