This lighthouse is a private residence. We were in town so we drove up the road to get a few photos. You can take photos from the street but can not visit. Gay Head lighthouse is across the island but worth the beautiful drive to...More

We pulled up and took a couple of photos but there are two residences here for the Coast Guard and you are not able to walk out on the lawn to view. But you get a good look from the street or on the ferry...More

this is an active Lived in light house, so going by for photo's is fine, but this is a home, so do not go to the door. Always pretty to take a photo

Since it's privately owned and occupied, all you can do is drive or walk past, Visit East Chop instead - youcan explore, take pictures and tour inside at preset times.

The bike loop to West Chop Lighthouse was stunningly beautiful. Do not miss it. In a charming community with a family feel.

There is a picket fence and several "no parking" signs. The light house itself is pretty and interesting but can only be viewed from the street if walking by or driving by very slowly.

Nothing like other lighthouses in terms of magnitude, but you can get close enough to examine, but not too close.
