This is a great little hike in Tyringham. Highly recommended if you want to see the scenery without expending too much energy! The loop is an easy 2 mile hike . You start by walking up through a meadow then head into the woods, including...More
Our family of 7 (kids ages 6-21) enjoyed this hike. Very doable for kids in this range, and good for those wanting a decent hike...not too hard, but still some nice challenges. Perfect. Bonus that part of it runs with the Appalachian Trail. Pack a...More
A great place to take your dogs. Well marked trail through pastures and forest, with some strenuous climbing in spots. Overlaps the Appalachian Trail. Wonderful Berkshire scenery. A little hard to find the small parking lot -- use your GPS -- not marked on nearby...More
We enjoyed this lovely hike through flowering meadows, into forest and up a hill with a lovely vista. There were butterflies, birds, chipmunks and friendly fellow hikers. It took us 1h 10m and got out heart rate up nicely during the climb. The trail is...More

Was a bit underwhelmed; but it was still a lovely walk and the view from the top very pretty. Trail signage was a bit lacking. Took 1.5 hours (ish). I wouldn't bring younger kids here not much to entertain them.
Part of the Appalachian trail intersects the Cobble Walk. Its is a 3 mile hike that gives you a pretty overview of Tyringham. Fun walk in the morning among the birds, trees and shade. Parts are a bit slippery and narrow but worth the effort.
