On the way back from Provincetown, my husband and I spotted a little roadside sign for this museum. We decided to take a detour to this attraction and are glad we did. The docents were enthusiastic, friendly, and well informed. The displays, particularly those dealing...More

The Truro Historical Museum has permanent exhibits that teach us about the people who lived in this remote place many years ago.

Be sure to visit this great museum after touring the nearby Highland Lighthouse and you'll get $2.00 off the admission. Great former inn that now serves as a museum for the history of the founding of what used to be called "Dangerfield".

Very historical and informative. Originally a hotel. Staff were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. So much in museum it's hard to absorb everything. Great value.

Pay once and return all year- so we do! My little ones love the museum. There are two areas particularly aimed at children with lots of interactive displays, colouring, dressing up and things to explore. They are starting to add more for children in other...More

In my frequent visits to the Highland Light, I had overlooked the Truro Historial Museum housed in a building next to the parking lot. It provides a full view of the history of Truro as well and the Outer Cape. Most interesting is the story...More
