We were too early (9am) to check out the inside of the house but that was okay. A short walk around the buildings and little garden was worth it. Pair this up with a visit to Naumkeag (it is just down the street).

Not a large site, nor entirely historically accurate, but the house and small associated museum offer interesting information about the white settlement of the area. Well worth a visit if it is open when you are passing.
