My wife picked this spot and I went without realizing where we were going (except to follow the GPS, which they forewarned us not to follow). However, we found the place fine and was very surprised by this "museum." It was the summer home of...More

I wasn't sure if this was going to be another gimmicky museum here in the Berkshires, but to my surprise this was a very interesting museum.. You can go through it quickly and the staff are all very knowledgable about the exhibit.

The information in the barn gallery is very interesting and puts French in context. Most impressive to us was his remarkable studio with its exceptionally high ceilings and workspaces. The wooded gardens are also beautiful.
