Went here on a recent trip to the Berkshires. What a fabulous experience. The level of history documented in the media there is incredible. A true national treasure.

The Rockwell museum always provides great shows including the Rockwell collection and special offerings. This time it was Warhol and Rockwell, comparing, contrasting and elucidating. Really quite extraordinary. Never disappointing.

My sister and I expected to spend maybe a couple of hours here; we ended up staying over 4 hours. Great collection of Rockwell paintings, including explanations of the history and/or process of many of them.

I've always enjoyed Norman Rockwell's illustrations; they show common people telling an instant story via the illustration. They had a Rockwell / Warhol exhibit while we were visiting, and it was interesting to compare the two. I hadn't realized how much prep work, sketches, different...More
