The descriptions boy the curators are unbelievably hysterical. The art as well. As a painter, I cringe at the thought that my own work could be exhibited here.

The museum of bad art, aka...THE MUSEUM OF BAD SMELLS. We heard that this was an attraction to see in Boston and decided to check it out. We came to find out it's in the basement of an old movie theatre. We are staying at...More

This is my favorite museum in the whole world! I'm not often a fan of art museums because they can get repetitive (how many Italian Renaissance paintings can you really look at before falling on the floor out of boredom?). But the Museum of Bad...More

Love this small museum that is in the basement of the Somerville Theatre. Just large enough! Has some very intersting pieces

This is a solid experience of awful, awful paintings treated with the same respect and dignity given to more conventionally appealing works of art. I am not kidding about the awful paintings. We're talking the kinds of things that don't sell at garage sales here-...More

In the basement of the already extremely quirky Somerville theater, this is a cool place to spend 5 minutes before your movie starts. The museum is just a room with very awkward art pieces & terrible portraits. Very amusing & worth at least one visit.

There's not a whole lot to see here by any definition, but you can't argue with the free admission with any movie ticket at the Somerville Theater. Not worth seeking out, though.

We wandered in to the Museum of Bad Art inside the Somerville Theater while waiting for the doors to open to a movie. A good time waster, not much more than that. Certainly don't go out of your way to visit.

This basement museum was started by someone picking up art that had been left out on trash day. Obvious sense of humor. All is not too bad. No Velvet Elvis-too obvious. Admittance free with purchase of movie ticket. Small old fashioned theater 4 screens with...More
