The Dexter Grist Mill may be the reason why the town of Sandwich is here. The Mill actually grinds corn meal on a daily basis using the water wheel and stone grinding mechanism that is probably hundreds of years old. You can purchase the ground...More

Loved it. The two gentlemen tour guides were very informative and we were actually able to see the mill at work. I can't wait to bring my son back (this is a girls trip).

We had a delightful informative tour of this beautiful property. It was truly a glimpse of history! We even took home some of the freshly ground cornmeal that was for sale at the end of our stay.

This is a working mill selling corn meal right in town. It is a picturesque spot and folks can be seen standing in the waters fishing. The visitor's fee is $4.00.

Although the mill is closed Columbus day to Memorial day, the grounds are right in downtown Sandwich, and you can walk around. People were fishing in the waters there. It's a beautiful old mill dating back to the 1600's and can still grind corn today.
