This was the collection of Josiah Lilly of Lilly Pharmaceutical. It is nice to see these cars as you would have 50 or 100 tears ago. The sprawling grounds were an adventure and we have made plans to go back next week after the Memorial Day crowd has left. As they say, "Well worth the price of admission"

The Rhododendrons were beautiful, and the grounds lovely and well maintained. Nice carousel, old car museum, art exhibit and kid's area, as well as a nice walk. Very clean and enjoyable way to spend an afternoon. I'd love to go back to see the hydrangeas when they are in bloom.

A beautiful experience that cannot be conveyed but has to be experienced. Dress comfortably for a day to remember with whoever you're with and enjoy the walk!

If you love rhododendrons, don't miss this lovely garden. I have visited many gardens and nowhere else can compare to this one in terms of both quantity and varieties of rhododendrons. A sea of rhododendrons in different colors and many of them are very tall.

Lynn and I and friends recently visited Heritage Gardens and the J.K. Lilly Automobile Museum. The rhododendrons and the Azaleas were blooming and there were plenty of new buds, about to display.. The highlight for me though was the Car Museum which displayed several cars that were one of a kind. This was a really great museum. If I was... More

We stumbled across the Heritage Gardens after deciding not to visit Martha's Vineyards or Nantucket (due to the chilly weather). It was a fun combination of outdoor + indoor activities. We started with the car collection then headed to the art installment. We finished with walking the grounds and grabbing a bite at the Cafe. The food was unique, clean... More

We visited on the recommendation of a friend who knows the place well, which was seconded enthusiastically by her teenage daughter. They were right; there is something for everyone! We both enjoyed the automotive museum. My wife was enthusiastic about the rhododendrons, which were in bloom. Special praise for their handicapped accessibility. Wheelchairs were available on request--useful in the automobile... More

We visited in late April, so the gardens were not quite blooming, however, we still thoroughly enjoyed it. Plus it was a rainy, cold day as well, so I can imagine how great it would be on a sunny warm day! The car museum is fantastic and so was the art exhibit. We are not real artsy people, but really...
