This beach is average. It's nice to be on the ocean and this beach is clean. However, it has a very coarse sand and the drop-off down to the water is significant so it's not really great for kids due to the undertow and depth...More

One of the most beautiful beaches for soft white sand and swimming in the summertime. I have been coming here since I was a child and have to say that I have traveled quite a bit to warmer climates and up and down the coast...More

Having grown up around here, I always visit Salisbury Beach when in New England. An old timey feel to a beach destination with arcades and plenty to eat. The area has always had a bit of a reputation, back in the day there were lots...More

We visit Salisbury a few times a year. We are adults who love the Arcades! We also love the beach, so clean, water is great. Nice place to people watch. Always enjoy our time here.

We have it all in New England. Salisbury Beach is less crowded and has plenty of parking, traffic is not as much of a factor as it is driving to Hampton Beach, which is only 10 miles away. Ten miles that can take up to...More

This was a beautiful state park. the bathrooms, changing areas, and outdoor showers were good. It is only a short walk to the beach from the parking lot. The waves were awesome but at high tide they slam you into the shore. As the tide...More

If you like a smaller, less crowded, less expensive, less drama-filled beach, I recommend Salisbury over Hampton. Yes, it's much smaller in the way of shops and restaurants, but if you're just a weekender, it's perfect. I recommend going when they host the Adam Ezra...More

In the off season some are open only on weekends. I would suggest calling the particular place that you are interested in visiting.

I would call Salisbury Beach State Reservation Campground, they will be able to either answer the question or let you know who can. I've sat on the beach in November and watched the horses being ridden on the beach.
