Yes a tourist area with small shops, gift shops, eateries and a harbor view but just as much fun to stroll in the area in the Spring and Fall. There is an old-fashion taffy machine where kids can watch the taffy being made and wrapped. The flavors are to numerous to mention but it is a great gift. You are... More

I had not been at Rockport in a couple of years and it is keeping its unique quietness and relaxing walks and views. Not a lot of people because of they are in off-season but that makes it even more interesting, you have time to stop and admire the streets, stores and places that were there but I had not... More

Strolling through Bearskin Neck in downtown Rockport is a delightful way to spend an afternoon. There is something here for everyone - sandwich shops to upscale restaurants; ice cream shops; silversmith and jewelry shops; clothing, toys, novelties, unique and awesome souvenir and gift options, and much more. All set in a beautiful and picturesque little town on the water. You... More

We love Bearskin Neck. It's cute, charming and very dog-friendly. We met many dogs there and wish we had brought our own. Our favorite little shop is Floating Lotus. Its selection of clothing and drafts is far superior to other stores.

The quintessential New England beach town - cute shops and art galleries, good restaurants and cafes, hard to find parking, boats, rocks, lighthouse. You'll like it.

We have been to Bear Skin Neck many times. Our visit today was just as special as it always is. It is a quaint area with shops, ice cream places, restaurants, art galleries, houses, museums and the famous Motif Number 1. Lots of things are packed into a small area. The Atlantic Ocean is either in view or just a... More

Think of this as a boardwalk of shops. There are tons of stores, restaurants, and some accommodations. It's paved and pet friendly!

Visiting our daughter in South Hamilton Decided to drive up to Rockport for lunch. Have been there during the season when it is packed and crazy. Well, this was a welcome visit with a HUGE difference... Absence of crowds, though many shops had not yet opened for this season.... And parking right at the top of Bearskin Neck, Leisurely lunch... This is a quaint little shopping/food area not to be missed! From Ole country store candy to the talented works of local artisans and more, one can find just about any gift you are looking for. Be sure to walk the entire strip so you don't miss anything... including the beautiful ocean views at the tip!
