Have been coming here for over 50 years. It has changed over the years, but still has the nice Pewter shop, the Lobster place (which was great for lunch), and Helmut's Strudel Shop. We also enjoyed the Pottery shop. Some places were not open for...More

If you like walking by the ocean, and quirky little shops, this is an ideal place to spend a few hours. There are gift shops, art galleries, ice cream stores, small restaurants, etc., and a back view of Motif #1. The buildings are mostly old...More

This is a fun area to explore with the mix of quaint buildings, the harbor, and boats. Being off season, several shops and restaurants are closed, but that also keeps it from being too crowded. In the shops that were open, it was nice to...More

This is a short peninsula that sticks out into the ocean, that has a couple of streets lined with shops and restaurants. It is a classic tourist area, but it has charm and locals like it too. The streets are narrow, so get parked and...More

Located on a peninsula sticking out from downtown Rockport. There are several dozen shops, some touristy and some artsy. Several restaurants or food related businesses dotted in between. Along the way are vistas of the Rockport harbor and quaint cottages.

Beautiful setting, great place to enjoy a walk, sitting and watching the ocean, boats coming and going, shopping and visiting with the locals.

This a real tourist destination yet even though I'm from Boston, I always enjoy going there. Somehow, although it's fully commercial, it exudes charm. Bearskin Neck juts out into Rockport Harbor. It is generally only open to pedestrians. And along its length are shops selling...More

Because it was December many of the shops and restaurants were closed for the season. It wa still nice to stroll through, window shop, and duck into those places that were open. Very pretty at night with the Christmas lights and reflections in the harbor.

Weekends should be fine. If you're concerned about weekdays, I would check with the hotel.

Not all will be open, so call ahead or contact the Chamber of Commerce. Some shop owners have seasonal shops down south.
